We are looking for talented local artists to produce two awards that will celebrate the contribution an individual, community group or business has made to one of the National Landscapes in Suffolk and Essex.
The award will recognise the impact they have had on the National Landscape of either the Coast and Heaths or Dedham Vale Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and Stour Valley.
The chosen work will be a handmade piece of art or sculpture that will be handed down from one winner to the next. The designs will need to incorporate the iconic species for each AONB – the Redshank for Coast & Heaths and the Hazel Dormouse for Dedham Vale.
The artwork needs to be portable and stable when placed on a flat surface, no bigger than A4 size. Each award will need the title of the award and the full name of the AONB. This can be integrated into the design or on a base with a metal plaque.
Budget:
The cost to make each award is £300.
Timeline:
- Drawing of the design idea to be received by morning of 16th November.
- Designer informed that their design idea has been chosen by 17th November.
- Piece of work to be completed by 16th January.
