In the Dedham Vale AONB we hold regular conservation work days from October through to April for Stour Valley Volunteers. We have now published our programme activities for the coming months!
The Stour Valley Volunteers play a valuable role undertaking practical conservation tasks every other Wednesday. These volunteers do practical conservation tasks throughout the Dedham Vale AONB and Stour Valley.
If you would like to work outdoors in the beautiful Dedham Vale and Stour Valley, help your local environment and meet some new people, then why not join us!
Work takes place on nature reserves, community sites and private land. The tasks are designed to maintain and improve the environment for wildlife, recreation and landscape quality.
People of all fitness levels are welcome, and previous experience isn’t necessary. We provide gloves, tools, training and any safety equipment required.
Tasks include pond clearance, tree and hedge planting, coppicing and meadow management. View the schedule, find out more and register your interest.
