Following on from our successful webinar on ‘How to connect to your community for wildlife’ the Wilder Together in the Stour Valley Partners are organising a practical evening training session on 10th May.

The event will take place between 6-8pm at RSPB Flatford Wildlife Garden on ‘ How to plan and run an event’. This training session run will look at what things you need to consider before, during and after an event.

There will be practical activities to have a go at such as building a stag beetle pyramid, dead hedge, bug hotel and bird boxes. The aim is to look at each of these activities and identify what tools and safety measures you need to put in place when undertaking such activities.

Hopefully after this practical session you will feel more confident to do similar projects for wildlife in your area. We will provide a hot drink on arrival before discussing how to plan an event and then move on to the practical element of the session.

If you’d like to attend this event, please contact Countryside Projects Officer, Emma Black, at emma.black@suffolk.gov.uk so we know what numbers we are catering for. If you are attending, please bring a pair of garden gloves, wear sturdy footwear and bring waterproofs just in case it rains.

If you were not able to attend our webinar, you can watch it back on our YouTube channel.
