Improvement works will be taking place in East Bergholt to footpaths, including 230m of surfacing along the route from Fen Bridge steps heading north until you reach the large vehicle bridge.

One small section of old fencing/gate infrastructure near Fen Bridge will also be removed as part of works to re-open the footpath’s width.

Works are scheduled to commence on the week commencing 28/04/2025 with the route legally closed for 2 weeks to allow for flexibility across the predicted 4-5 days for delivery, with 1 day of works undertaken in March in line with funding agreements.
