Himalayan Balsam is an invasive non-native plant that grows on river banks in the river Stour Catchment out-competing native plants and destabilising river banks.

To help stop the spread of this invasive plant we are organising two, two week long  Himalayan Balsam pulling work parties, along the River Stour and two of it’s tributaries the river Box and Brett.

The dates are :

Wednesday 16th June – Wednesday 30th June  

Monday 12th July – Sunday 25th July

The work parties will start at 10:00am and finish by 3:00pm, but you can come for whatever time is available to you.

All training and any tools for the task will be provided. A list of what you need to bring and where you need to go will be provided when you register.
