Successful Community Reference Group meeting

1000002577-1

The Dedham Vale and Suffolk & Essex Coast & Heaths National Landscapes for All  Community Reference Group came together on the 24th November at The Hold in Ipswich.

This was the second time that the Community Reference group had met since Landscapes for All initiatives started. Representatives from the following organisations attended the event:

  • Acycle
  • P.H.O.E.B.E
  • Community Action Suffolk
  • Anglo Chinese Cultural Exchange
  • Essex Cultural Diversity Project
  • Ipswich and Suffolk Indian Association

Together with this we also had representatives from the Community Rail Partnership team for Essex & South Suffolk and East Lines, Suffolk County Council Green Access Team, Suffolk County Council Heath, Wellbeing & Childrens Services and National Landscapes Natural Heritage officer.

The purpose of this second session was to recap on the work of the Landscapes for All so far since the first meeting in May 2023, and to continue to have meaningful discussions on access to the National Landscapes which help guide and inform the Landscapes for All vision.

The continuing Community Reference group question is “How can we make the Dedham Vale and Suffolk & Essex Coast & Heaths National Landscapes more welcoming and accessible to a greater diversity of people?”
