The latest training event as part of the Wilder Together in the Stour Valley project took place at Flatford Wildlife Garden.
Wilder Together is a partnership project that has been created between the Suffolk and Essex Wildlife Trusts, RSPB Flatford Wildlife Garden and the Dedham Vale National Landscape and Stour Valley team.
The partnership has been established to support parish and town councils to work with their communities to create wildlife friendly villages and towns in the Dedham Vale and Stour Valley.
At the latest event we had members from parish councillors and local wildlife groups join us to learn about our new event kits and resources, as well as how to more broadly educate people on supporting wildlife in their gardens and local communities.
Feedback from the event was very positive, with one attendee commenting:
“Thank you for a very interesting talk and having walked around that garden a couple of times before, was awoken to all the care that has been planned for plant, animal & insect life. Gave me a few hints on our pond & wood!”
