The Dedham Vale Landscape Character Assessment was published in 1996.
Aspiration for Boundary Review
It was an aspiration since 2009 of the Dedham Vale National Landscape and Stour Valley Partnership, a grouping of around 26 organisations with an interest in the area, to extend the nationally designated National Landscape boundary.
Landscapes Review
In May 2018 the government asked for an independent review into National Parks and National Landscapes. The review’s final report was published on 21 September 2019. It was led by Julian Glover.
Stour Valley Heritage Compendia
Managing a Masterpiece (MaM) was a three-and-a-half-year programme to understand, conserve and celebrate the landscape of the Stour Valley.
As part of the evaluation of Managing a Masterpiece a series of Stour Valley Heritage Compendia were produced.
State of the AONB Report 2018 (PDF)
This State of the AONB Report was commissioned in 2018 by the Dedham Vale and Suffolk Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) team and Combined Joint Advisory Committee to provide evidence on the current status of a number of indicators relating to the state of the protected landscape.
