Free guided walk from Manningtree to Flatford

Willy-Lotts-House-Flatford

Join the Essex and South Suffolk Community Rail Partnership on a guided walk from Manningtree to Flatford, led by the Dedham Vale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) team.

Taking place on Saturday 10th June, meet at Manningtree railway station at 10:30 am for a 4-mile guided walk to Flatford through the beautiful countryside.

There will be two hours free time at Flatford to explore attractions such as Willy Lott’s cottage, the RSPB Wildlife Garden and of course the famous Hay Wain view immortalised by Constable. There is a National Trust café but it can get busy at peak times so you might prefer to bring a picnic and some water.

It is a dog-friendly event although dogs must be kept on a lead. Please wear sensible shoes and dress for the weather – bring water, sun cream and hat if necessary.

Manningtree is very well-served by train services from Colchester, Ipswich and Harwich. Show your train ticket at the station café on your return to Manningtree station for a free tea or coffee!

There are 35 places available on a first come, first served basis. Find out more and register now.
