Stag beetle workshop for Parish Councillors and wildlife groups

The Suffolk Wildlife Trust are hosting a presentation in East Bergholt about stag beetles followed by a short walk in the grounds to look at suitable habitat and locations for stumperies.

This event forms part of the Farming in Protected Landscapes project ‘Creation of strategically located stag beetle stumperies’ working with the Stour Valley Famer Cluster and is funded through the Dedham
Vale National Landscape.

  • Friday 28th June 2pm-4pm
  • Queen Anne Room, Old Hall, Rectory Hill, East Bergholt CO7 6TG
  • Speaker: Colin Hawes researcher and local expert on stag beetles
  • Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided mid-afternoon
  • Parking – small public car park CO7 6TF, w3w affords.kilt.outcasts or in the village, please do not obstruct driveways and car share if possible
  • Old Hall entrance through the lynch gate opposite the church
  • Dogs – assistance dogs only
